- On Sunday, the NDC National Deputy Director of elections, Daniel Amartey Mensah directed the NDC in South Tongu to re-organize their constituency elections after a failed attempt on Saturday, 22nd October 2022
- The directive was not welcomed by the then Constituency Chairman, Henry Ampah, who stated 10 reasons why the elections should not be held on the said date in a press release on Saturday, 29th October 2022
- The elections still took place despite his letter

On Sunday, 30th October 2022, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in South Tongu reorganised their constituency elections to elect new executives despite a press release by the then Constituency Chairman to the Deputy Director of Elections to put it on hold.

The elections went on as directed by the Deputy Director of Elections, Daniel Amartey Mensah who exempted 5 branches from it: namely, Sogakope Secondary School branch A, B, C, D, and E.
The results below, however, are votes from 161 branches of the South Tongu Constituency
