Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Hon. Samuel Okudzeto has in a statement on Monday, 20th June 2020 disclosed the launching of a new intervention in his district called “Operation Brighten Every Corner (OBEC).”
According to the him, OBEC will lead to the installation of at least 1,000 streetlights across the North Tongu constituency.
The installation will first begin at all Senior High Schools in the district.
“We are beginning with all Senior High Schools to ensure the improvement of visibility for all students and teachers and to improve security as schools resume academic work,” he wrote on Facebook.
He added that the intervention is expected to light up all communities, markets, social centers, lorry stations, schools, river crossing points, and roads in the district.
