Mohammed Ismail Sherif, popularly known as Black Sherif revealed in a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin why he wears flare and tight jeans. According to him, his fashion sense has a literal meaning.
He explained that he wears flare jeans to loosen up his legs. “You need free legs to walk”, he said. However, with the tight jeans, he said he wears them to show he’s in a tight position at the moment.
“I’m in a tight position right now: in my mind, my career and my everything.”
According to him, this is why he wears flare jeans and tight jeans, contrary to what some critics think.
If you’ve been following Black Sherif for some time you will know what he is talking about. Because when he says he needs free legs to walk, he is alluding to how he sees himself – a traveller. As a traveller, you need free legs to walk!
