Cameroonian leader tests positive for COVID-19, may have endangered 197 MPs

Cameroon’s 80-year-old president of the National Assembly, Cavayé Yéguié Djibril, has tested positive for coronavirus.

This report was quoted in a tweet by Africa Facts Zone.

According to them, the re-elected speaker of the National Assembly may have endangered 197 other parliamentarians as a way of his disobedience to the 14-day quarantine policy by the Cameroonian Health Ministry.

To control the spread of the coronavirus, the Cameroonian Health Ministry has placed a 14-day quarantine on travellers from affected countries.
