COVID-19: QNet donates 10,000 pieces of hand sanitizers to Immigration service

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) on Wednesday, 15th April 2020, took delivery of 10 boxes of hand sanitizers from QNET Marketing Company Limited at its National Headquarters in Accra.

Speaking at the short ceremony, the Country Director of QNET, Dr. George Anti Ohene said the company partnered with Green Logic Solutions to provide single-use sachets of hand sanitisers to help combat the novel Coronavirus.

Dr. Ohene said “there are 1,000 pieces in a box and this comes in handy”, adding that, they could simply be carried in pockets and disposed of after use.

He promised to provide the Service with Personal Protection Equipment and face masks as part of their contribution in the fight against the global pandemic.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Immigration, the Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration (DCGI) in charge of Finance and Administration, Mrs. Judith Dzokoto-Lomoh said the Service was pleased with the gesture. 

“We hoped the cases did not rise and the curve flattened much earlier, but it keeps rising, and we must be ready”, she noted.

She expressed appreciation to QNET Marketing Company for the kind gesture.

Also present for the donation were the Operations Manager for QNET Marketing Company Limited, Mr. Kwadwo Antwi and the Director of Green Logic Solutions, Mr. Ken Ohene Sam.
