Following recent development in the Volta Region concerning COVID-19 pandemic, and the closure of markets in the neighboring district, the South Tongu District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Luis Agamah has on the mandate of the stakeholders of South Tongu District declared Sogakope and Dabala markets closed for a period of two (2) weeks beginning tomorrow 13th April 2020 until otherwise decided.
According to him, his immediate action is to protect the good people of South Tongu from the novel coronavirus.
With Volta Region now joining the list of confirmed COVID-19 cases, Hon. Emmanuel Luis Agamah is taking preventive measures against the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus in Sogakope and Dabala.
