COVID-19: South Tongu MP donates supplies worth Ghc 100,000

The MP for South Tongu Constituency, Hon Kobena Mensah Woyome on Friday, 3rd April 2020 donated supplies with a cost value of about ¢100,000.00 to the South Tongu Health Directorate for distribution to identified institutions, unions, associations, and organized groups in the Constituency 

The supplies include 80 Veronica Buckets and Stands, Paper Towels, Sanitizers, Thermometer Guns, and N-19 face/nose masks.  

This is the second time the South Tongu MP is delivering mitigating support in the wake of COVID-19. This time around, the beneficiaries transcended the main Health facilities, covering institutions and several organized groups 

The five traditional areas in South Tongu: Fieve, Agave, Sokpoe, Tefle, and Vume who were represented by their assembly members. Police, Customs, and Immigration officers engaged at the Sogakope and Dabala Junction Barriers benefited from the MP’s intervention. Other beneficiaries include members of Transport Unions, Trades Union, Market Women, etc

In a statement during the presentation, the MP reminded all and sundry about the dangers posed by the Coronavirus pandemic. He encouraged all to embrace the official directives put forth to fight the pandemic: social distancing, hand washing, and the use of hand sanitizers. 

The Director of the South Tongu District Health Directorate received the items with immense gratefulness
