The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for South Tongu Constituency for the December 2020 Elections, Hon. Joseph Wisdom Ahadjie has joined scores of many well-meaning Ghanaians across the country who are supporting the efforts of the government towards ending the spread of the dreaded COVID-19 Pandemic in the South Tongu Constituency.
A presentation of 10 Sets of Veronica Buckets, a Carton of Key Soaps and Twelve pieces of hand tissues was made to the Sogakope Health Directorate by the Parliamentary Candidate, early Friday morning in the company of the party’s constituency executives.
In a short speech during the presentation, the PC, Hon. Joseph Ahadjie reiterated the call by the Ministry of Health and many frontline workers towards observing the WHO’s recommended protocols which would help fight the pandemic. He mentioned that social distancing, regular washing of hands under running water and the use of approved hand sanitizers should be vigorously adopted.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Health Directorate, the District Director of Health, Madam Mavis Agumey, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the parliamentary candidate and the constituency executives for their timely donation. She promised to lead her team to put the items to good use and also continue to practice the WHO protocols in curtailing the spread of the virus in the country.
The Parliamentary Candidate later donated similar items to Sogakope Zongo Community, Sogakope Accra Station, Freedom FM (Sogakope) and Agbakope Community; all in the South Tongu Constituency.
He called on all the constituents to adhere to all the precautionary measures against COVID-19, especially staying at home to cut the curve of the spread of the virus.
He pledged to reach other communities within the constituency for similar activities in the coming days.
