Dabala Health Center: Assemblyman appeals for children’s ward, nurses bungalow

Assemblymember for Dabala, Hon. Stephen Aho has expressed disappointment in the current state of the Dabala Health Center right after a donation on its premises on Tuesday, 12th January 2021.

According to him, the health facility cannot boast of a children’s ward or a nurse’s bungalow.

He said some 16 years ago they were told that the Dabala Health Center has been upgraded to a polyclinic.

“For about 16 -18 years, we were told that the Dabala Health Center has been upgraded to a polyclinic but that’s not the case. On paper, it is a polyclinic but on the grounds, it is not. For instance, there’s no ward to admit children. Apart from putting a drip on a patient, there’s little the health centre can offer.”

He added that they need more facilities at the Health Center.

“We need more facilities. We need wards and nurses bungalow.”

The assemblyman was among those present at a handing over ceremony on Tuesday, 12th January 2021, organized by Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome, member of parliament for South Tongu.
