Fire has on Wednesday, 22nd April 2020 gutted a three-bed house at Komemle near Joy Fm in Accra. At about 1155hrs, a distress call was received reporting the fire outbreak at the above-mentioned location.
The Headquarters fire station was immediately dispatched to the fire scene.
On arrival at the scene at 1200hrs it was observed that the fire was well alight and was likely to spread to adjoining buildings which includes the main Multimedia building.
A second appliance was quickly called in to assist in checking fire spread and also swiftly douse the fire. The fire was put under control at 1210hrs.
Lack of access to the affected building posed a major challenge to the operations of firefighters and as a result, the building was totally burnt together with all its belongings however, none of the adjourning buildings was affected.
Investigation into the possible cause of this fire outbreak has commenced.
