- R2bees uses Evander Dadson’s photo without its watermark to promote their new song ‘Sure Banker’
- The picture was taken by the photographer at last year’s Wildalandfest in Accra, Ghana.
- The photographer complained bitterly about his name being cropped out of the photo in a tweet by the music duo
- R2bees are yet to respond to Evander Dadson or take down the post
On Tuesday, 4th October 2022, a photographer by name Evander Dadson called out music duo R2bees for using a picture he took at last year’s Wildaland festival without watermark to promote their new project ‘Sure Banker’.
In a tweet, he asked how he can make some money if such an attitude is allowed.
See tweet below:
His tweet takes us back to musician Kirani Ayat’s tweet from last month.
Ayat called out the Ghana Tourism Authority for using a snippet of his music video without his explicit consent. Fuse ODG also came out to with the same allegations days after Ayat’s tweet.
These happenings in recent times have followed lots of conversation online about copyright infringement with many influencers and key industry players at the centre of it.
