Hand washing introduced to Sogakope market

As part of plans to provide preventive measures against the novel coronavirus, authorities in Sogakope have introduced a system of hand-washing before entering the Sogakope market.

Entering the market from the main lorry station is a small-sized poly tank for washing of hands with soap.

This practice is one of the efficient ways of containing the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus.

So far, the South Tongu District health Directorate has not confirmed any coronavirus cases in Sogakope.

Workers from their department were seen last week educating the public about the virus.

Also, plans are underway to reduce the overcrowding in the market.
