The Parliamentary Candidate for South Tongu on the ticket of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev. William Mac Donald Hoggar says he will restrict movement in the night as part of efforts to ensure security in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region. 

This is according to his observation of the district‘s crime rate. 

He said his party‘s position on security is to supplement the work of the police with soldiers. 

“Mr. Chairman, my party’s position on security is that we are going to supplement the work of the police with soldiers.” 

He added that soldiers will be redeployed in the various towns of the district. 

“Our soldiers would be redeployed to help the police in our various towns.” 

He was speaking at the South Tongu Parliamentary Candidates’ Debate on Thursday, 26th November 2020.
