Joeboy won his first at the 6th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), an award scheme established to celebrate musical works, talents, and creativity around the African continent.
The Nigerian singer won the Best Artiste (Duo or Group) in African pop for his hit song ‘Baby.’ He promised to make more hits after winning the award.
“More hits on the way,” he said.
The hitmaker couldn’t hide his appreciation for his fans, team and Nigerian superstar, Mr. Eazi.
“Big thank you to everyone for supporting the movement. Big love to the team, Don Eazi, for the support! We won the award for “best artist in African pop category “ at the AFRIMAs,” he added.
Mr. Eazi is confident that this award is the first of many. “Man like Joeboy with his 1st AFRIMA, first of many!! Congratulations,” he wrote.
The 6th AFRIMA was held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
