John Dumelo to offer GHC 200,000 to owners of small scale businesses in Ayawaso West

Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency John Dumelo is offering an emergency loan of 200,000ghc with 0% interest to small scale businesses in his constituency as part of efforts to support them in this coronavirus crisis.

According to him, he understands what it means to run a small scale business.

“As a farmer and a businessman, I understand what it means to have low or no harvest and have also experienced opening up shops and making no sales. The COVID-19 crises including the lockdown has negatively affected many businesses in the Ayawaso West Constituency.”

However, the parliamentary candidate wants to give hope to the people of Ayawaso West. He assured the owners of small scale businesses that ‘hope is coming.’

“To the coconut and roaster plantain sellers, the corner shops, the tabletop retail outlets, the evening kenkey, bread or egg, waakye and vegetable sellers and all those who work hand to mouth to take care of their families… hope is coming.”

He added that the procedures for accessing this loan will be communicated directly. He is, however, hoping that the loan will revive and even create more job opportunities.

“I hope this token will revive many businesses and even create more job opportunities…”
