Communication director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi says John Dramani Mahama would have provided free electricity to Ghanaians for the lockdown.
According to him, such an intervention is nonnegotiable for the NDC, adding that if former president John Dramani Mahama were president of the Republic of Ghana all Ghanaians would have been enjoying free electricity by now.
Explaining his point, he said, “People are living in the house and they’re consuming more electricity, yet are not working…”
President Akufo-Addo in his 5th update announced that his government would absorb water bills for the next three months, that is from April to June.
However, the NDC believes their party would have done more if in power.
