Sogakope Assemblyman Killing: Maxwell Lukutor speaks on police update

Opinion leader Maxwell Lukutor has expressed joy on behalf of the people of Sogakope over Thursday’s press release by the Ghana Police Service.

Speaking to Umaru Sanda on Eyewitness News, Maxwell thanked the IGP for personally taking an interest in the case and the CID. According to him, they have done a good job.

Maxwell used the platform to congratulate the youth for playing a huge role the making sure the Honorable Assemblyman gets justice.

He said, “Let me also congratulate my youth who did whatever was humanly necessary to make sure that we are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.”

Background

The Ghana Police service on Thursday, 23rd April 2020, gave an update on the murdered Sogakope South assemblyman Hon. Marcus Mawutor Adzhali.

According to them, one Vincent Adjei believed to be the ring leader in the murder of Hon. Marcus Mawutor Adzhali on Sunday, 1st March 2020, has been remanded by the Dabala District Court to reappear in court on 26th May 2020.

They added that four other persons namely, Bright Awuya, Franklin Tetteh, Ansong Tetteh, and Amos Agaklah were also remanded by the Dabala district court on the same crime.
