Headmistress of the Sogakope D/A Primary School ’C’, Madam Kokofi has revealed that burglars broke into their school and made way with 17 installed ceiling fans with their regulators.
She made this revelation during the commissioning and handing over of a 6-unit classroom block on Tuesday, 19th January 2021.
According to her, the ceiling fans were stolen from the new 6-unit classroom block and an old classroom block in the School.
This incident, she said, took place during the temporal closure of schools.
We verified this story with the South Tongu District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Louis Agama, who was present at the handing over ceremony.
Reacting to the incident at the ceremony, Hon. Emmanuel Agama lamented over the attitude of some individuals in the district and urged them to put a stop to it as it retards development in the district.
The story which was first sighted on Volta Online Gh, says he also urged each and everyone to join hands with the District Assembly Security Council (DISEC) to ensure security in the district.
“People are saying security issues are the works of the District Assembly Security Council (DISEC)… this is not true… it is the duty us all to maintain proper security in the area”
