The incumbent Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome has revealed that the Sogakope District Hospital will be converted into a trauma center.
This according to him will save lives on the road since the hospital is located within the West African Highway.
He said through his lobbying the presidential candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has agreed to this.
“His Excellency John Dramani Mahama through my lobbying has agreed to convert the District Hospital into a trauma center because it is located within the West African Highway and we know the number of accidents on that road… When we have a trauma center we will be able to save a lot of lives.”
He was speaking at the South Tongu Parliamentary Candidates’ Debate on Thursday, 26th November 2020.
