The Paramount Chief of Tefle traditional area, Togbe Nakakpo Dugbaza has called for an incident-free election in the South Tongu Constituency of the Volta Region.
Speaking at this year’s South Tongu NDC Campaign Launch, the former chairman of the South Tongu Political Parties’ Dialogue Committee encouraged voters to maintain peace in the constituency.
According to him, he has observed that the South Tongu Constituency is one of the most peaceful constituencies in the country.
“ I have been the chairman for South Tongu Political Parties’ Dialogue Committee for decades and any time there’s an election, I go round with my vehicle … to see what’s going on. … I have realized that South Tongu is one of the peaceful constituencies in this country. I want the constituency to maintain this in every election and on December 7 I want the constituency to come out with incident-free elections,” he said.
Togbe Nakakpo VIII, among other chiefs from the five traditional areas of the South Tongu Constituency, were guests at the event.
