When asked the motivation behind the upcoming EP, he said, “I’ve been quiet for a long time now and I know people are expecting a lot from me… people are hitting me up, asking me what’s going on? I feel I should just come back with a compilation… giving them a single won’t be enough.”
When asked about the motivation behind the EP, he revealed that the fourth track was from personal experience.
“The motivation has been from the lives of other people. The three songs were from the environment but the last song was from personal experience.”
The singer also revealed the meaning behind the title of the EP, the Rise.
“The Rise because I’ve been silent and a lot of people think that I’m gonna be gone, like forever. The Rise, I’m coming back, I’m back.”
