Volta Region records 41 cases as Ghana’s COVID-19 cases rise to 5,918

Volta Region records 41 cases in Ghana’s 5,918 COVID-19 cases.

This update was sighted on the website of the Ghana Health Service.

According to the update, 1,754 have recovered from the virus while 31 persons have died from it.

The count of cases per region is as follows:

Greater Accra Region – 4,422

Ashanti Region – 881

Central Region – 212

Eastern Region – 100

Western Region – 98

Western North Region – 57

Volta Region – 41

Northern Region – 31

Oti Region – 26

Upper East Region – 26

Upper West Region – 21

North East Region – 2

Bono Region – 1

Savannah Region – 0

Ahafo Region – 0

Bono East Region – 0

President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Akufo-Addo in his 9th address to the nation informed Ghanaians that the more tests they conduct, the more new cases are revealed. 

“We must understand that the more people we test for the virus, the more persons we will discover as positive, and, thus, have the opportunity to isolate and treat them. If you do not test people for the virus, you will not find the persons who are positive, let alone isolate them from the population and treat them, and prevent them from spreading the virus.”
